CFC head visits FPRDI
Ambassador Ali Mchumo, Managing Director of the Common Fund for
Commodities (CFC) – Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) paid
a courtesy call to Director Florence P. Soriano and visited the
FPRDI’s Cococoir Binderless Board Pilot Plant Facility last April
27. The facility has recently been rehabilitated using CFC funds
amounting to USD 84,710.
(Above) Dr. Dwight A. Eusebio hands over to Ambassador Mchumo a
sample of a board produced during the plant’s trial runs. With them
are Mr. Getachew Gebre-Medhin, Chief of CFC’s Programme Management
and Evaluation Unit, and Director Soriano.
Ambassador Mchumo and Mr. Gebre-Medhin were in the country as guests
in the recent International Sugar Forum held in Makati City. #
