FPRDI brings technologies to Nueva Vizcaya

Cable TV viewers in Nueva Vizcaya get to know FPRDI as Engr. Felix C. Moredo, Foresters Felix B. Tamolang and Robert A. Natividad (2nd, 3rd & 4th from left, respectively) talk about the Institute’s technical assistance services and technologies at a public service program of the local Mamuric Television Network.

“We were invited to the show after our technology forum with Nueva Vizcaya’s handicraft and furniture sector”, says Engr. Moredo. “The province’s wood-based industries have a lot of strengths. They actively participate in trade fairs, are very good in product design and have access to legal sources of raw materials”.

“However,” he clarifies, “these industries need FPRDI’s immediate technical assistance in the areas of kiln drying, wood finishing, and production planning and control, among others. Our prompt response to their need - coupled with the support of other concerned groups - can help them grow so that they can grab a bigger share of the market in Metro Manila and nearby provinces”. #
